In advance of Saturday's international rugby game which sees Luxembourg away to Denmark in Division 2C of the 2014-16 European Nations Cup, The Luxembourg Chronicle talked with Steve Karier, President of the Luxembourg Rugby Federation.

Steve told us "The situation seems obvious: the bottom of the table (Denmark), without a win so far, hosting the undeafeated leader (Luxembourg) - but, looking at Denmark's results, they have taken defensive bonus in each of their games - all their losses were by just a couple of points. We have been warned and are aware that our trip to Odense will not be a walk in the park. The Danish pack is strong, I expect them to play with the forwards as much as possible."

He continued "I am confident we will bring home another win. Our players have learned a lot over the last two years and our coach knows what he is doing. All we have to do is to follow the game-plan without panicking or rushing. The first few minutes will be crucial: if we can play the game on our terms, alternating forwards and backs carries with a very solid defence behind, we should be able to earn a real championship finale against Slovenia at the Stade Josy Barthel in Luxembourg in May."
