At the FINA World Swimming championships currently being held in Kazan, Russia, from 24 July to 9 August 2015, Luxembourg's Monique Olivier continues to set the pace: following her new national record set in the heats of the Women's 400m Freestyle, she has since broken another national record, this time in the Women's 1,500m Freestyle.

In the 1,500m Freestyle heats she swam the 30 lengths distance in 16.43.21, smashing her own personal best by 2.19 secs. Later, in the Women's 200m Freestyle, she set a time of 2.03.23, just missing the National Record of 2.02.75 set by Christine Mailliet in 2008.

Laurent Carnol also set a new national record for the Men's 50m Breaststroke on Tuesday morning, smashing his personal best by 0.47 seconds - a huge difference in a 50m race - and finished 2nd when recording a time of 27.94 secs.

In the Men's 200m Freestyle heats, Pit Brandenburger finished 58th overall, just 0.23 seconds outside his personal best when setting a time of 1.52.12.
