Last week, Luxembourg 's fastest swimmer Julie Meynen attended the Southeastern Conference Championships in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Competing with twelve of the best university teams in the south-east of the USA, Luxembourg swimmer Julie Meynen led in the 50, 100 and 200 yard freestyle races, gaining important points for the women's team at Auburn University.

In 50 yards freestyle race, Julie Meynen, swimming for Auburn University, won the B final and set a new best time of 22.11 seconds, and she came in sixth place in the A final. In the 200 yards she took 21st place with 1:47.90 minutes. Meanwhile, as part of the 4 x 50 yards and 4 x 100 yards freestyle team, the team won The Auburn Tigers silver and bronze awards respectively.

With these times, the 19-year-old will take part in the NCAA Championships from 15 to 18 March in Indianapolis.
