The FINA High Diving World Cup 2017 will take place on 28 and 29 April 2017 at the international YAS Marina Sport Club in Abu Dhabi.

23 men and 13 women from 18 countries will compete in the high diving competition, showing their skills with different jumps from dizzying heights.

The men and women will perform a total of four jumps from heights of 27 and 20 metres. Among them will be the Luxembourger Alain Kohl.

Alain Kohl commented that: “Preparations for the World Cup went very well. Last time I was able to spend Easter in the Coque to work on the subtleties of my jumps. I would like to do better than last year, when I finished 14th”.

For the Luxemburger Schwimmverband, the participation of a water springer would be a first at the world championship. Since 2013 the High-Diving belongs officially to the World Cup program.

From 2009, Alain Kohl has been one of the sport's best athletes, who are part of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series ". In 2011, the 34-year-old became fifth overall and celebrated the same year when jumping in La Rochelle where he ranked third, his biggest success so far.
