FLNS Luxembourg Swimming Federation athlete Pit Brandenburger has come 51st on his second day at the World Championship in Budapest.

In the 200 metres freestyle race, the 21-year-old set a new personal best time in 1:51.14 minutes. From the very beginning, he set a high pace and stayed 1.2 seconds below his fastest time at the 100-metre mark.

Pit Brandenburger commented that: "The last 50 metres were very hard". 

In the end the Luxembourger placed 51st out of 73 swimmers.
