On Thursday, Luxembourg's Gilles Muller was up against top seed Nova Djokavic of Serbia in the second round of the French Open tennis tournament at Roland Garros in Paris.

Despite his heroics and steely determination to win his first-round match against Paolo Lorenzi in 5 sets, he could not muster enough controlled aggression to mount a serious challenger to Djokovic and went under 6-1, 6-4, 6-4.

Meanwhile, Luxembourg's Mandy Minella was partnering Germany's Monica Barthel in the Women's Doubles, losing their first-round match against A. Dulgheru (Romania) and M. Rybarikova (Slovakia) in three sets, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
