Top-seeded Mandy Minella of Luxembourg and playing partner Tita Torro-Flor (ESP) failed in their attempt to get to the final in the Ladies Doubles Championship at the Brasil Tennis Cup in Florianopolis, Brazil, on Thursday.
The top seeds were up against the 4th seeds, the German pairing of Annika Beck and Laura Siegemund, who won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4.
The winners will play in the final against the 2nd seeds, Maria Irigoyen (Argentina) and Paula Kania (Poland), who defeated Marina Melnikova (Russia) and Laura Pous-Tio (Spain) in the other semi-final.
