In the Rogers Cup tennis tournement currently being played in Montreal, Canada, Luxembourg's Gilles Muller was up against #2 seed and world ranked #3 Andy Murray (Scotland) on Friday for a place in the quarter-finals.

The #46 ranked player from Leudelange, aged 32, was fighting against the odds to get to the last eight, but the 28 year-old from Dunblane was too stong from the off, with a final match score of 6-3, 6-2.

The 1 hour 5 minutes match saw Muller record 5 aces with Murray just one behind, but it was Muller's 5 double faults and 25 unforced errors which proved to be costly.

Murray will play France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, seeded 10th, in the quarter-finals.
