Luxembourg female tennis player Jo Wiesen will not be going through to the next round of the Waves Open 57 tournament in Moulin-les-Metz after losing 0-6, 3-6 to France's Julia Schneider.
The Luxembourg hopeful has failed to qualify in the senior women's category of the competition, which gives amateur players the opportunity to improve their level and enable like-ranked players to battle for a spot in the next level up. Qualified meet professional players in the main draw.
This year's tournament features the likes of Luxembourg #1 Mandy Minella, last year's Waves Open winner Stéphanie Foretz, current #154 Amandine Hesse, winner of the 5th Waves Open 57 edition Mathilde Johansson, French #17 Constance Sibille and French #38 Victoria Larrière.
