On Monday, Luxembourg's Gilles Muller, fresh from his first ATP tour win in Sydney, won his opening match in the Men's Singles at the Australian Open tennis tournament being held in Melbourne.

The 33 year-old (ranked #34) defeated 19 year-old Taylor Fritz (USA, ranked #91) in three sets, 7-6, 7-6, 6-3, and will now meet the third seed, Milos Raonic of Canada in the second round.
