Ringing in the New Year is always an exciting time for making new goals and setting good intentions; if any of these resolutions include increasing serenity, flexibility and improving health, then 2016 is most likely a perfect year to start with yoga.

The benefits of a regular yoga practice are as diverse as the styles and varieties of yoga available for practice. YogaBalance in Luxembourg-Kirchberg has a new course schedule effective since 4 January. A manifold choice of yoga classes provided during different times of the day makes the decision to take up yoga practice easy.

Yoga Lunch and Mindfulness classes, Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Anusara, Ying & Yang and Kids Yoga are all part of the regular program. New in January are the Core Strengthening yoga series offered occasionally at this time, and held on 6, 8 and 13 January from 12:30 to 13:30, as well as on Saturday 23 January from 10:00 to 11:00.

The Core Strengthening/yoga series class serves to improve overall health, muscle balance and yoga performance with a fusion of some traditional yoga poses along with a unique type of resistance stretching in order to safely create strength with flexibility. The class is designed to strengthen and balance weak areas in the body deepening active range of motion while working on active strengthening techniques. The exercises are basic and subtle and greatly help people that have back issues and will help everyone improve their core strength. Core Strengthening classes are the ideal complement to your regular yoga class or attend as a stand-alone experience as part of a progression of your fitness.
