'Bibi und seine Freunde', a BEE SECURE project of the Service National de la Jeunesse (SNJ) designed to educate young children on certain dangers within technologies, won 2nd place amongst the 20 EU countries participating in the European Crime Prevention Awards (ECPA) in December 2015.

'Bibi und seine Freunde' ('Bibi and his Friends'), a collection of picture books and teaching materials, reached 2nd place at the ECPA, which were announced at a European Crime Prevention Network conference on 17 December 2015. The concept is aimed at children aged 3 and over as nowadays younger and younger cinfants are beginnin to use the Internet, computers, smartphones and tablets as part of everyday life. Bibi's story can be read online and experienced through play, explaining that young individuals must be careful in the digital world. These stories can be used by parents and teachers alike to provide even the youngest users with important rules of conduct and tips along the way.

The ECPN praised the initiative which aims to reduce the risk of children falling victim to online scams later in life and the idea to offer Bibi-booklets in the waiting rooms of doctors' offices to reach a potentially large audience.
