Early this year the Domaine "Clos des Rochers", of Bernard-Massard, received a gold medal for the quality of their Groaerd Riesling 2014 wine in the "Mundus Vini” competition in Neustadt / Weinstraße.

Each year, the company participates in several competitions and the wine submitted is made from a high quality terroir located in the "Fels" of Grevenmacher. Low yields of about 35 hl / ha means that the wine is highly concentrated and holds a remarkable longevity.

The 2,262 bottles and 202 produced in 2014 will not be marketed until the end of 2016 and then only through Bernard-Massard in Grevenmacher.

The first International Wine Award was held in 2001 with 2,235 registered entries from all the major wine-growing regions in the world. The record amount of registered partisipants was in 2011 when 6,000 wines were entered.

The Mundus Vini awards are held twice annually, with a summer tasting in August and a spring tasting in February. The purpose of the competition is to promote the quality and the marketing of the wines entered.
