Last November, the results of a mobile network measurement campaign carried out by Systemic PAB independent experts showed that amongst the three mobile operators in the Grand-Duchy, Orange Luxembourg is the best telecom operator for the quality of experience of mobile services in the country.

The results of the survey placed Orange as having the best results in quality of experience of mobile services in Luxembourg for:

- Best mobile network;

- Best overall results for mobile internet;

- Best overall results for mobile voice.

Orange regularly asks for independent network surveys in order to optimise its mobile network infrastructure, its quality of services and its capacity nationwide. The November benchmark study covered the 20 largest cities and towns in Luxembourg. The measurement was carried out with certified equipment using international standards and protocols. For voice quality, mobile to mobile communications were taken into account in this wave.

The survey has been done on the same routes, zones and with the same methodology on all mobiles networks in the country, including the competitors networks in order to benchmark the level of quality measured. This certification is a strong recognition for all network teams, working usually during night hours to limit customer impact. Network demand is increasingly growing; within the last 30 months the mobile internet grew from 20 to 90 Terabites per week on 4G/4G+, therefore coverage completion, capacity increase and quality of service requires continuous investments including new equipment to prepare the 5G in Luxembourg.

"Orange confirm its leadership for mobile very high broadband in Luxembourg. However the objectives are not related to technology but to our customer satisfaction using our networks every day in their lives. Connecting people to what is essential to them remains our main focus and we do hope that our network will allow our customers to enjoy Christmas even more and send their end of year wishes to all their cheers" quoted Jean Christophe Bayet, CTO of Orange Luxembourg SA.
