After launching its mobile video employment application on the App store, Luxembourgish start-up Kliber announced on Tuesday that the platform is now available via Google Play.

The start-up reported in March earlier this year that it had managed to raise the funds necessary to create a new version, which has now become a reality. The Android version displays the same features as that provided through iOS, including the recently-launched geolocation system and the possibility to connect through a LinkedIn account, with Kliber co-founder Jonathan Levi revealing that the development for the next version of the app is already underway.

"We had to be available on the two major platforms in order to satisfy all job seekers willing to embrace and use this advanced technology," Jonathan Levi explained. "Our launch on Android allows recruiters to now reach the entire job market!"

Speaking of the changes to be made to the app in the future, he added: "The focus is on the user experience and on adding the option to attach a complete CV to the recorded video interview. Moreover, we are going to optimise the recruiters' interface, which will enable companies to share their job offers with any interested candidate."

According to Kliber co-founder and CEO, Nathalie Dondelinger, the latest developments were borne from user feedback on the part of recruiters and applicants alike.

"Outside of Luxembourg especially, businesses interested in Kliber were pushing us to develp an Android version, a step which was mandatory for our international expansion," she said. "For those companies, Kliber is the ideal filter against CV spamming and candidates with no real or little motivation to actually work for the companies they apply to."

Launched in 2015, Kliber has also grown in terms of staff, and Nathalie and Jonathan are now assisted by a team of four.

"I think I was one of the firsts to apply to a position at Kliber using Kliber," commented Joe Neu, part of the team. "Applying to a job at Kliber without using Kliber seemed so absurd - luckily I had an iPhone!"
