For the 7th year in a row, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce organised a national pavillion at the Expo Real 2015, the 18th International Trade Fair for Commercial Property and Investment in Munch from 5-7 October.

This year the Expo Real, an international networking platform for the real estate industry addressing transnational projects, investments and financing, atrracted circa 1,700 exhibitors and 37,500 participants from 73 countries, representing a slight growth underlining the optimistic outlook of the industry.

The attractive design and sophisticated stand concept of the Luxembourg pavillion were an attraction for many visitors. The Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and participating companies - Agora, JTC Luxembourg, Luxlait Développement, LRI Invest, DREF - German Real Estate Funds and Somaco, as well as sponsors Oakpark, Dagli atelier d'architecture, DSM - Attorneys, INOWAI, the town of Esch and Arendt & Medernach - is considered to be one of the major foreign trade fairs for Luxembourg companies.

On the first day, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce hosted a traditional exhibition reception at the Luxembourg pavillion. In the presence of an international audience, CEO Carlo Thelen presented the latest developments of the Luxembourg real estate industry. The vacancy rate in the Grand Duchy is at 4.3%, the lowest in Europe. Moreover, he underlined the AAA rating of the country and the economic diversification measures by the government.

This year's guest of honour at Expo Real was the Mayor of the City of Luxembourg, Lydie Polfer, who presented in her speech current major projects of Luxembourg city, including the Royal Hamilius Centre and the Ban de Gasperich. In addition, she reported on the general development plan of the city of Luxembourg which should be completed in the coming year, with the aim to identify and promote sustainable growth in the general interest and where compatibility of quality of life and urban growth is a priority.
