On Friday 27 November, the Fit4Entrepreneurship project partners (the Chamber of Commerce, ADEM and the Chambre des Métiers) paid tribute to the commitment of leaders and entrepreneurs providing support for programme project sponsors who provides support for jobseekers wishing to start a business project.

During her welcome address, Sylvia Ridlesprige, Counsellor and Head of Quality and Lifelong Learning at the Chamber of Commerce, thanked the business leaders for their valuable contribution in the framework of the programme and highlighted the scale of the project, placing it in the context of the strategic partnership for the end of 2014 employment concluded between ADEM and the Chamber of Commerce.

She recalled that the Fit4Entrepreneurship project, launched in January 2015, is part of the national goal to promote entrepreneurship while providing a suitable response to the needs of training and support for job-seekers with entrepreneurial potential. Monitoring and experience sharing provided by leaders represent, according to Sylvia Ridlesprige, essentially added value of the programme and also demonstrate the social responsibility of the economic world.

During her speech, Isabelle Schlesser, Director of ADEM, welcomed the strong involvement of field leaders. She found first encouraging results of business creation by jobseekers integrated into the Fit4Entrepreneurship programme, this being the result of the joint effort of all stakeholders in the process, including 20 heads of enterprises already active in the project.

What is Fit4Entrepreneurship?

Fit4Entrepreneurship 2015 - 2016 is led by the Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with ADEM and the Chambre des Métiers and with support from the European Social Fund (ESF). Its objective is to contribute to a positive change in the rate of business creation by establishing a training programme and structured support to jobseekers demonstrating entrepreneurial potential. The programme complements the existing ecosystem with special attention to project leaders and builds bridges to other for monitoring projects after the course.
