Luxembourg Minister of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Nicolas Schmit, is today participating in the 'Relaunching Europe - Shaping Our Digital Workplace' conference taking place in Koblenz.

The conference was organised by the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats at the European Parliament and aims to debate Europe's digital future. Minister Schmit will participate in a panel discussion alongside Malu Dreyer, Minister-President of Rhinelad-Palatinate; Yasmin Fahimi, Secretary of State at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs; and Christianne Benner, Vice-President of IG Metall.

"Putting the social dimension of the digital transformation on the European agenda is one of my priorities," Nicolas Schmit commented ahead of the conference. "We must prepare our labour markets and our social systems for the great innovations that are in progress. Social investment and particularly training will doubtless be one of the pillars of this strategy. The launch of traning such as Fit4Coding is a good example."
