On 10, 11 and 12 June 2016, the Technoport and a small group of passionate people are organising a hackathon themed around Sustainable Urban Development.

What is a hackathon?

Have you ever played at a LAN party with friends in a room full of computers and gaming nerds? Well, it's kind of the same thing, as fun and rewarding, but with a little nobler goal.

Imagine a gathering, during a 48-hour period, of computer programmers involved in software and/or hardware development, including graphic designers, UI designers, project managers, ... Their goal is to collaborate intensively, extreme code, and create prototypes that innovate or improve a new or existing project. That's a hackathon! (A hacker neologism)

The main purpose of the event is to stimulate innovation in and around Sustainable Urban Development. Three "Topic Sponsors" (POST, Enovos and Neobuild) will offer 3 subjects for participants to pick and work on. They will not retain ownership of the code, participants will! At the end, a jury composed by well-known professionals will reward the best prototypes!

Would you like to hack with the other particpants? Register on www.hackathon.lu.  Early bird tickets are available until 15 Mayb (€120 instead of €160).
