Luxembourg's Ministry of the Economy’s Intellectual Property Office and the Institute of Intellectual Property Luxembourg (IPIL) have announced the first edition of their event Afterwork of Intellectual Property; the event will take place on 5, 12, 20 and 27 October 2016 from 18:00 to 20:00.

On the different dates, there will be presentations, testimonies and round tables allowing guests to gather information about the different ways of protecting the rights of intellectual property regarding creations and inventions.

The event’s partners, the Chamber of Commerce, the University of Luxembourg, the Chamber of Trades and the 1535° Creative hub, will welcome participants in their respective localities to tackle the following topics:

1. Wednesday 5 October at the Chamber of Commerce, Kirchberg: Why and how to protect creations. An introduction to intellectual property

2. Wednesday 12 October at the University of Luxembourg, Limpertsberg: Patent of invention and open innovation

3. Thursday 20 October at the Chamber of Trades, Kirchberg: The brand as an element of commercial differentiation

4. Thursday 27 October at 1535° Creative hub, Differdange: Designs and models and authorial rights- examples of creative industries

There will be translations from French to German for sessions 1 and 3, and from French to English for sessions 2 and 4. Followed by a networking cocktail.
