Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde (AEI), in collaboration with Mouvement Ecologique and Action Solidarité Tiers Monde (ASTM), has invited Mr. Ashish Kothari, a renowned sociologist and environmental activist from the Indian NGO Kalpavriksh, to Luxembourg to discuss ecological sustainability and social equity.

Two events are being organised (both in English):

- Tue 18 October @ 18:30 @ Centre Universitaire à Luxembourg-Limpertsberg (Bâtiment des Sciences, salle 0.03, 162 A avenue de la Faïencerie): a conference on “Growth or Degrowth? A vision of India” - Can Environment and Development go together? Towards a Radical Ecological Democracy. The conference will be followed by an open discussion with the audience. The presentation will be in English, and a translation into French will be provided. The event will end with a drink.

- Wed 19 October @ 12:30 @ the Centre d’Information Tiers-Monde (CITIM), 55 avenue de Liberté, L-1931 Luxembourg: a Lunch-talk on “Radical Ecological Democracy”. During his presentation, Mr. Kothari will focus on the current situation in India and alternatives that can lead to a sustainable world and a fairer society.
