The 6th edition of Engineering Trainee Days (ETD) took place on Wednesday 30 November 2016 at the "Forum da Vinci".

Organised by the non-profit association Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg, in collaboration with the Da Vinci Association and Luxembourg's Ministry of National Education, Childhood and Youth, the programme allowed more than 200 students to look over the shoulder of an engineer or scientist for two days.

This number is encouraging and the association hopes to reach even more young people in the years to come, but this has only been possible thanks to the companies that support these young people and allow them to discover their world. A total of 86 companies have participated in this programme since the first edition.

The Engineering Trainee Days promotes the profession of engineers and scientists. It allowed students to have an insight into the daily work, professional, linguistic and relational requirements of an engineer or scientist by accompanying him/her for two working days during the week of 31 October to 4 November. For this 6th edition, 36 pupils from 17 schools were selected on the basis of their application to be welcomed into the 17 Luxembourg companies as follows: Amova, ArcelorMittal Belval, B.E.S.T. Ingénieurs-Conseils, Cebi, Cloud Managed Data, Costantini, Delphi Automotive Systems, EY Luxembourg, Hitec, InCA Ingénieurs Conseils, LSC Engineering Group, Paul Wurth, PROgroup, Raval, SES, Sidor & Karp Kneip.
