Following its first year of operation, Airlines for Europe (A4E) - Europe's largest airline association - is organising an Aviation Summit in Brussels on Wednesday 8 February 2017, with Cargolux Luxembourg's sole representative.

A4E's 1st anniversary summit will facilitate CEOs meeting to assess what EU policy makers have achieved on key policy issues to benefit European passengers.

Just twelve months after its official launch, Airlines for Europe looks back on a year of continued membership growth as well as the start of various policy campaigns to  benefit  European travellers. “Uniting 14 airline groups who represent more than 25 European brands and 550 million passengers gives us a strong voice”, said Thomas Reynaert, A4E’s Managing Director. “Last year A4E presented two studies which highlighted huge hikes in  airport charges and the costs of damaging ATC strikes on the European economy. At the A4E Aviation Summit our CEOs will assess what EU policy makers have achieved on these key policy issues last year and will present our objectives for 2017”, added Reynaert.

Airlines for Europe (A4E) is Europe’s largest airline association, based in Brussels. Launched in January 2016, the association consists of Aegean, airBaltic, Air France KLM, Cargolux, easyJet, Finnair, Icelandair, International Airlines Group (IAG), Jet2.com, Lufthansa Group, Norwegian, Ryanair, TAP Portugal and Volotea, and plans to grow further.
