ALFI (the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry) is organising an impact investing conference on Wednesday 26 April 2017 at the Alvisse Parc Hotel (120 Route d'Echternach, L-1453 Luxembourg-Dommeldange); the programme has now been announced and registrations are open.

The conference, which will focus on Climate Finance and the Social Development Goals, will bring together industry professionals, practitioners and researchers from a broad variety of national and supra-national organisations, banks and asset management companies, investment funds and Microfinance Institutions. The conference addresses asset owners, asset managers and investors, as well as the impact investing community at large.

ALFI has now announced more than 30 speakers from 12 countries and three continents, which include Alison Fort, Acting CEO and Managing Director of Europe, Toniic, a global action community empowering impact investors, and Louise Hedberg, Head of Corporate Governance and Sustainability at East Capital, specialised in integrating Environmental, Social and Governance issues (ESG) in investment activities. Other confirmed speakers are, among others, Nicolas Lorne, Director and co-founder of Waterpreneurs that contributes to the realisation of the human right to water and sanitation by financing the growth of local water entrepreneurs, as well as Arvind Narula, Owner and CEO of Urmatt Ltd. in Thailand, the world’s leading supplier of organic jasmine rice which partners with economically impoverished and culturally indigenous farmers, and Jochen Wermuth, Senior Fund Partner, Wermuth Asset Management GmbH, a German family office and investment advisory firm committed to sustainable investments.

The cost to attend (for ALFI members) ranges from €250 - €350, depending on dates; for non-members, the fee is €300 - €400.
