Streff SA is to host a day-long seminar at their premises at 5 rue Pierre Flammang, Windhof, of the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID®), the international trade association for companies providing information destruction services.

When the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) goes into effect on 25 May 2018 it will represent the most significant change in data protection laws the region has ever seen.

“The GDPR will dramatically increase the importance of compliant data destruction in Europe,” said NAID CEO Bob Johnson. “Because it will force organisations to demonstrate they are properly destroying discarded information, service providers who are prepared to educate their clients and prospective customers will thrive like never before. On the other hand,” Johnson added, “those who are unprepared will have a very difficult time of it.”

On 18 May 2017, a full year before the GDPR effective date, NAID-Europe will hold a special one-day seminar that will feature policy makers, regulatory consultants and a number of GDPR experts to explain the new regulation and how it will affect service providers and the organisations they serve.

While planning for the event has only now begun, NAID-Members are asked to please mark their calendars and plan to attend. NAID-Europe is also working on a number of sales tools that will help members educate their clients and prospective clients. These tools will also be unveiled during the seminar.
