The 31st edition of the conference EnviroInfo will take place in Luxembourg on 13-15 September 2017.

The EnviroInfo 2017 is the 31st edition of the long standing and established international and interdisciplinary conference series on leading environmental information and communication technologies.

For the first time, EnviroInfo will be organised in Luxembourg by the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). Luxembourg and LIST offer a unique setting for the conference.

The country is at the intersection of the German and French-speaking communities that each have different societal views on environmental topics and challenges.

Luxembourg is specifically challenged by environmental issues that cross borders, be it the impact of environmental disasters, emissions caused by the transborder mobility due to the international workforce of the country, or the interoperability of environmental decision systems in general.

All these challenges are common to many Environmental Informatics projects. Luxembourg’s particular location makes the country an excellent place to discuss these topics.

Furthermore, Luxembourg and LIST are very much interested in research with a measurable positive impact on society and quality of life.

EnviroInfo2017 will be organised by the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) in collaboration with the German Informatics Society and the Technical Committee of Environmental Informatics.
