The Goodwill team from the University of Warsaw in Poland were named as the winners of the Morpheus Cup, taking home, as a result, the prize sum of €20,000 at the ICT Spring Europe Conference in Luxembourg this week.

Igor Pielas, member of the Goodwill team expressed his delight at winning the competition and explained the team’s key to success: “the tasks were challenging, but very interesting. We did not expect to win, but as our team has known each other for a long time, we were very organised”.

The Special Jury Award was given to the Lausanne Management team from HEC Lausanne, while the NEO team from the University of Luxembourg took home the Best Mobility Project award.

The Morpheus Cup, organised within the confines of ICT Spring Europe is an opportunity to showcase future industry players, and is the first European competition between universities and colleges of its kind in the sector. It is backed officially by the European Commission and its Vice-President, Head of Unique Digital Market, Andrus Ansip. Around 100 teams of students from forty-seven higher education institutions participated in the competition this year.
