The International Raiffeisen painting competition, aimed at children and young people aged between 4 and 18 years, was a huge success even in its 46th edition.

The winners of the national and international finals in the annual Raiffeisen painting competition were invited on Friday afternoon to its headquarters in Leudelange to claim their prizes.

The theme of this year's competition was "Fanta Tesch Group A Reell Virbiller! Ween inspiréiert dech?" In total, 31,833 children and young people participated in this country in this creative challenge. The ingenuity of the young artists saw no limits, both regarding the basic artistic idea and its implementation. From all the submitted works identified, local judges first identified 3,000 winners who were able to take in the regional prize. Subsequently, a national jury made a further selection among the 3,000 winning works and so chose 18 works of art tto receive awards. There were once again numerous attractive prizes, including a bicycle, a go-kart, an I-Pad and "Green Code" accounts with a starting balance of €200 and €400.

Finals in Luxembourg

Following the same model as in Luxembourg, children and young people in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France and Finland were also involved in the 46th International Raiffeisen Competition, where some 800,000 young people left their creative talents run wild. In Luxembourg this year around 32,000 young people participated.

This day brought together the winners from the participating countries, together with the respective leaders of the Raiffeisen banks in Luxembourg to determine the international winner of the competition, which were evaluated from 4 age groups per country.

Around the Award Ceremony the leaders of Banque Raiffeisen Luxembourg had put together an attractive programme for guests, including a professional guidance graffiti workshop, in which young artists could let their spraying talents run wild in an entirely legal manner.

Tourist and sport elements could of course also not be ignored, with the participants visiting the city of Luxembourg and took part in an Adventure Challenge and a canoe trip. At the conclusion of the international meeting, a visit to the Breakin 'Convention was on the agenda.

Also in 2016 there was an audience award. From 26 May to 14 June 2016, the images of the young artists were presented at the Raiffeisen Facebook pages and so could everyone interested "vote" for their favorite drawing. About 15,000 "likes" were collected on the social networks.
