Summer temperatures were peaking at the Schueberfouer when the Stemm vun der Strooss charity organised an outing for more than 80 disadvantaged people aged between 6 and 70 years of age on Wednesday 24 August.

The beneficiaries of the association, which has worked since 1996 in support of the social and professional integration of disadvantaged people in the Grand Duchy, could enjoy a number of fairground rides on the Place du Glacis in the context of the 676th annual edition of this great festival.

For the fifth consecutive time, the participants of the visit were also offered a free meal. Jerome Bigard and brothers Fabien and Christophe Diederich generously invited more than 80 people to Le Kessel. The menu consisted of bouchées à la reine served with French fries, salad and soft drinks and took place in a cordial and festive atmosphere.

By this gesture of generosity, the organisers of the meal emphasised "Everyone has not been lucky in life and we must show solidarity with the disadvantaged."

As every year, the visit was a great success. It is a great opportunity that allows such people to forget the worries of their daily lives and to participate fully in a collective celebration.
