On Saturday 28 January 2017 at 19:30 at the Abbaye de Neumunster in Luxembourg-Grund, the Unity Foundation in Luxembourg is hosting a public screening of the short film “Mercy’s Blessing” followed by a conference on education and development with May Taherzadeh, director of Mercy's Blessing.

Synopsis: In a rural village in the heart of Africa, a teenage boy has a dream: to get his younger sister and himself out of poverty. But when a twist of fate shatters his hopes, everything seems lost and he is faced with the ultimate choice.

The film (in English with French sub-titles) has already won 10 awards in film festivals all over the world.

May Taherzadeh is an award winning independent filmmaker who has directed films across 6 continents. May was born in the UK, grew up in Malawi, is ethnically Iranian and lives in the Netherlands.

The conference will be conducted in English, with French translation.
