In July 2015, Tango introduced electronic signatures for the signing of new subscription contracts; the first assessment has shown that the initiative has been successful - this technology has already made it possible to save 1.6 tons of paper over the full-year 2016 - an excellent initiative for the environment.

Since its launch in July 2015, electronic signature has been proposed to customers in all Tango points-of-sale. Widely popular, it owes its success to the simplicity of its operating method, resembling that of a hand-written signature. Once the contract has been filled in, the Tango sales consultant sends it directly to a tablet computer made available to the customer. The latter can then read and securely sign it. Once the document has been signed, it is sent directly to Tango's servers for activation and storage in its systems. As for the customers, they receive their contract by e-mail.

Since this solution was introduced, Tango has noted improved fluidity in the operational processing of subscriptions in points-of-sale, which has the added advantage of reducing customer waiting time. Tango also notes considerable space savings, for itself and for its customers, since the storage of such contracts is entirely digitised.

These are advantages that benefit not only Tango and its customers, but also the environment. This year, the introduction of the electronic signature in points-of-sale has made it possible to save 318,000 sheets of paper, i.e. 1.6 tons in total. A tangible progress, accomplished in the context of the "We Act" Corporate Social Responsibility programme implemented in the company since 2012.

Tango wants to give this type of initiative in favour of the environment a further push by, for example, encouraging all its customers to receive their bills in electronic format instead of on paper. A campaign to this effect has already been introduced and the upgrading of the online bill interface will soon make this solution even more attractive, for more wide-scale adoption.
