The Tax Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) is organising a conference on Thursday 3 March 2016 from 18:00 entitled "Luxembourg's position in a new tax world", at the Banque du Luxembourg (14 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg).

Over the last few months we have witnessed the release of the final reports by the OECD on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS), the EU anti-avoidance package including the draft EU anti-BEPS Directive and the introduction of automatic exchange of information in tax matters. These changes will certainly shape the future of Luxembourg for the years to come.

Luxembourg’s current tax system is significantly influenced by these recent developments and this conference will address the challenges and opportunities facing the Grand Duchy as it is forced to modernise its tax policy in order to remain an attractive location for business. Among other topics discussed will be:

•    BEPS impact on Luxembourg

•    International trends, with speakers from Belgium, the Netherlands and USA

•    Employment incentives and benefits

AMCHAM will have Luxembourg, Minister of Finance, Pierre Gramegna, as a key-note speaker, with other distinguished tax experts including Mindy Herzfeld from the USA and Theo Keijzer from The Netherlands.

Members free; non-members €46. To register to attend, see www.amcham.lu.
