On 2 July 2015, supermarket company Lidl Luxembourg signed a collective agreement with trade union LCGB for a period of 24 months starting on 1 September 2015.

The Luxembourg branch of the German supermarket chain currently employs 130 personnel, and the new collective labour agreement will now apply to managers and shop assistants.

Staff at Lidl's seven stores will now benefit from a new pay scale which guarantees the equivalent of the minimum wage for any qualified employee after ten years of seniority at the company. Compared to the previous pay scale, workers at Lidl will gain almost six years.

Besides the amendments to the pay scale, various bonuses have been negotiated:

- A seniority bonus amounting to half a month's salary for staff who already have more than ten years seniority.

- A single premium of €30 after the birth of a child.

- Staff who are on first response in the event that a shop alarm goes off will receive a premium of €20 in addition to the relative pay worked out onsite, with the reimbursement of travel costs and possible extras.

Labour union LCGB announced that the signing of this agreement allowed it to improve the compensation for Lidl employees for the next two years.
