Baker & McKenzie law firm in Luxembourg has announced  the appointment of Catherine Martougin as a new Partner on the team within its vision to continues to enhance its existing Funds and Asset Management practice.

Catherine has significant expertise in Luxembourg alternative investment funds (AIFs) with an established practice that has a strong focus on the structuring and formation of large scale private equity, real estate, debt and infrastructure funds, having assisted major international financial institutions, companies and fund managers in the creation of complex investment structures

Catherine has been practicing business law for more than 17 years, notably in elite international law firms in Paris and as Partner in the Investment Funds department of a leading Luxembourg law firm as a specialist in real estate and private equity.

Catherine is a regular speaker at international seminars and conferences and is Chairwoman of the Public Affairs Committee of the European Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles (INREV) and an officer of the Real Estate Section of the International Bar Association (IBA). She is also Co-Head of the Real Estate Marketing working group of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) and a member of the Executive Board of the Real Estate Association of Luxembourg (LuxReal).

Catherine Martougin is a member of the Luxembourg and Paris bars and holds a LLM in International Law, from the University of Panthéon-Assas (1999), a LLM in International Commercial Law from the University of Nanterre (1999), and a Bachelor in Economy and Finance from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (1998). She started,her career in Paris working for Willkie Farr & Gallagher and then worked for the Luxembourgish law firm Arendt & Medernach, where she made partner in 2009, before joining Jones Day in 2015.
