A total of 150 employees of PwC Luxembourg gathered on 24 January at the annual "Seniority Cocktail" ceremony; John Parkhouse, CEO of PwC Luxembourg, Marc Schernberg, Partner and People Leader, and Claire Audollent, Managing Director of Human Capital, rewarded them for their daily commitment, which has been the company's success for more than 35 years.

"Today, we personally thank our employees who have contributed to the past, present and future success of our firm for so many years," said John Parkhouse. "Their continuous involvement allowed us to evolve and bring together no less than 2,700 talents around our common values: working as a team, acting with integrity, listening to others, opening the field of possibilities and distinguishing themselves".

Marc Schernberg added "This longevity and ongoing commitment within our firm shows that our values have not only been integrated but also appreciated and put into practice by our employees on a daily basis."

Different generations, same values

The "Seniority Cocktail" is an opportunity to remember that the firm brings together employees from three different generations. Baby-boomers, generations X and millenials are led to collaborate and evolve together, in a context in perpetual transformation.

"PwC Luxembourg has 2,700 employees who work every day to build the firm's future. For most of them, no less than a generation separates them. From this supposed generational gap are born an ongoing enrichment and collaboration between the various collaborators, who each feed on their experiences, skills and experience to serve our clients," said Claire Audollent, Director Human Capital.

PwC Luxembourg has introduced several initiatives to meet the expectations of these different generations:

• More flexible career plans that take into account the aspirations or constraints of each individual with the possibility of modifying his / her working time;

• A sharing of decisions delegated to employees encouraging them to transcend their values and seize a unique opportunity to become players in their future and the future of PwC Luxembourg;

• Help managers adapt to embrace the flexibility expected by new generations through a training plan focused on the individual and his or her group.

PwC Luxembourg is also responsible for putting in place means to promote the personal and professional development of its employees so that they can flourish in a stimulating environment in which they project themselves in the long term. Mobility programmes, both internally and internationally, give employees a new dynamic in their careers. The same goes for breaks in their professional career, which offer them the opportunity to spend time to support a charitable or personal project.

In turn, the 150 employees who shared the evolution of the firm during 10, 15, 20 and 25 years were rewarded. Two employees, Kees Hage and Robert Castelein, celebrated their 30 years of involvement with PwC Luxembourg.
