Goodyear recently honoured a total of 118 members of staff for 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service with the company; the jubilees were invited with their partners to a festive evening at the ‘Al Seeërei’ in Diekirch.

Silvia Sitzen, director Human Resources for Goodyear Luxembourg, made a presentation about the relevant events that happened during the respective hiring years and congratulated the jubilees for a total of 3,620 years of loyal services to the company. She added that this “impressive number of years of experience and know-how was assembled by 4 women and 114 men and thus contributed to the company's success.”

Mrs. Sitzen then reviewed the 2016 highlights and thanked the members of staff for their exemplary commitment during the development and manufacturing of the newest products like the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 tyre, the new range of Dunlop truck tyres and the new ‘Proactive Solutions’ service for truck fleets.  She also mentioned the Eagle 360 concept tyre, Goodyear’s vision of the Mobility of the Future, which was exhibited at the Geneva Motor show, raising high interest. “Another innovation boost for the future is certainly le project of the new Luxembourg Automotive Campus that will settle on the Wire Plant grounds. And in November, Goodyear and the Luxembourg Institute of Science & Technology (LIST) announced significant research and development (R&D) investment focusing on sustainable mobility and next generation materials,” she added.

The speech was followed by the official group pictures, with the officials inviting the jubilees to join them on stage for their respective years of service.

During the dinner show that followed, all the guests received a small gift as a souvenir of this memorable evening.
