The British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg has announced the appointment of Joanna Denton as its new Chairman, following the 26th Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday 31 May 2017.

Joanna spent 18 years working for different Big 4 Accounting firms – 16 years as a tax consultant specialising in VAT, and for the majority of that as an expert in the ICT industry.  Since 2014 she has been working as a Public Speaking Coach, and she left corporate life in September 2016 to set up her own business.

She is joined in the Officers Group by Patrick Birden, General Secretary; Arjan Kirthi Singha, Financial Secretary; Daniel Eischen, Vice Chairman and Jill Saville, Vice Chairman.

Speaking of the appointment Joanna commented “I am excited and honoured to have been elected Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg. What has always impressed me about the Chamber is the pragmatic and tangible approach taken to addressing the very real business concerns of our Members. I see the Chamber contributing to making Luxembourg an attractive place to do business whilst promoting and enhancing the links between the UK and Luxembourg. Every month we see evidence of this in the quality of events that are held, the speakers invited and the additional activities organised by the sub groups."

She continued "I am proud of the work of the Chamber, and I am even more proud to be given the opportunity to lead this band of highly dynamic, skilled and engaged Secretariat, Officers and Council Members. I am determined to build on the legacy of the last 25 years and take the Chamber forward into the next 25 years.”
