On Monday evening at the meeting of the Indian Business Chamber Luxembourg (IBCL) on Developing Smart Cities, Sudhir Kohli, in his capacity of Cahirman of the IBCL, announced the formation of a Strategic Advisory Board for the chamber.
Sudhir Hohli stated "As you all know, IBCL is a non-profit organisation, with its motto "working together, winning together", fostering and facilitating, as a two-way gateway, bilateral ties between India and Luxembourg in various sectors of business, investments, education, tourism and culture. We are proud that in just over six years, IBCL is one of the leading international chambers of Luxembourg. Its activities have evoked appreciation from the business community, law makers and government officials. Now, we feel that we have reached a point where it is important to tap into an impressive group of thought leaders to help and support IBCL in its long term success and growth. As such, today IBCL is pleased to announce the formation of its distinguished Strategic Advisory Board. The Advisory Board brings together a unique a cross-section of experienced and admired experts and professionals from various segments of business and the government."
The members of the Strategic Advisory Board were announced as follows:
- Mr. Gaston Stronck, Former Luxembourg Ambassador to India; Presently Director, International Economic Relations & European Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Luxembourg
- Mr. Luc Verbeken, CEO, ING Luxembourg
- Mr. Marc Feider, Senior Partner, Allen & Overy, Luxembourg
- Mr. Serge Behm, General Manager, Vice President, TATA Consultancy Services, Luxembourg
- Mrs. Virginie Michielsen, Director Marketing & Communication, Deloitte Luxembourg
- Mr. Jeannot Erpelding, Director of International Affairs, Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce
- Mr. Christian Ginter, Deputy Director for investment promotion, Ministry of Economy, Luxembourg
- Mr. Yves Nosbusch, Chief Economist, BGL BNP Paribas, Luxembourg
- Mr. Michel Wurth, Chairman of ArcelorMittal, Luxembourg, who has accepted to be Chairman of the Advisory Board.
Sudhir Kohli added "We will revisit and develop a renewed IBCL vision and purpose together with the strategic advisory board. The Advisory Board members will steer, provide valuable knowledge and experience to the IBCL. They will be its advocates and ambassadors, advice and provide guidance in development of its long range strategies, plans and objectives. They will recommend policies, review IBCL activities with a focus on investments and business attraction in various sectors between India and Luxembourg. They will suggest conference themes and speakers for events and assist in building and maintaining strong partnerships and communication with other organisations."
He concluded in saying "Pedro Castilho, CEO of Verbalius, who is also one of the founding members and a board member of IBCL, has been playing an important and active role along with others in taking IBCL forward and supporting IBCL even though he is involved in many other activities. We are pleased to announce that today the IBCL board has unanimously elected him as the Vice-President of IBCL and he replaces Mr. Jim Penning who will still continue to serve the IBCL board."
