Julien Brunel and his company milepaKr was announced as the winner of the 10th edition of the Creative Young Entrepreneur Luxembourg (CYEL) competition held on Thursday 30 June 2016 at Cercle Cité in the capital.

The Jeune Chambre Economique of Luxembourg has now been organised this event for a decade with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship amongst youth in Luxembourg and of rewarding innovative ideas from 18-40 year olds. The even was supported this year by BGL BNP Paribas, KPMG, the Ministry of the Economy, the Ville de Luxembourg and Datacenter.

Over 250 people gathered at the Cercle Cité to find out who would come out on top from amongst the three finalists Dr. Raphaël Frank of MOTION-S, Patrick Rahme of All Square Golf and Julien Brunel of milepaKr.

Entrepreneur, writer and radio host on BDMBusiness gave a motivational speech on "optimism, innovation and entrepreneurship, the best tools against the crisis", before the first prize was awarded to Julien Brunel.

Julien Brunel founded milepaKr, the first web platform that will connect all amateur athletes and sport competition organisers across Europe, to provide them with information and a wide range of services.

2nd prize meanwhile went to Dr. Raphaël Frank for the enterprise MOTION-S, with 3rd prize attributed to Patrick Rahme for his work with All Square Golf.

The celebration featured a gala cocktail in the style of The Great Gatsby and an anniversary cake.
