The Network, the women’s international business association in Luxembourg, is organising an event on Wednesday 23 September 2015 at 19:00 at Le Royal Hotel (12 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg).

Under the title Assertiveness at Work and Play, and moderated by Lisa Francis-Jennings, this event will help attendees better manage to say No without feeling guilty or being rude. If you ever felt that you could be more assertive or feel more confident, then this is the event for you!

Join the Network at this event to build your understanding of assertiveness and become comfortable with assertive interaction. Participants will practice boundary setting and assertive communication. Attendees will gain a new understanding of how assertive communication can be used to set expectations and create a level playing field where everyone has a voice.

Lisa has over 20 years of experience assisting individual clients and organisations to realising their goals. Specialising in Organisational Transformation and Knowledge Transfer she leads change management initiatives, designs training and knowledge acquisition programmes. The focus of her programmes is on alignment and creating an environment where real conversations and connections happen to create effective and sustainable interventions. She holds a joint MSc (HEC & Oxford), and certificates from institutions including the Rotman Institute for International Business and the Canadian Training and Development Group. Her ability to recognise the essential qualities of a situation, and her unique talent of connecting disparate pieces of information, defines her creative conversations and business solutions.

Entry is free for members; €15 for non-members at the door or €12.50 beforehand online at www.thenetwork.lu.  Members’ annual subscription fee: €40.

Doors open for registration at 19:00 and the event starts at 19:30.
