On Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 October 2017, Luxembourg's Prime Minister and Minister of State, Xavier Bettel, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Étienne Schneider, traveled to Moscow.
The Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister attended the 6th International Innovation Development Forum in Moscow, the theme of which this year is "Digital Economy - Challenges of Global Transformation". During his participation in the plenary session of this forum, Prime Minister Bettel said "we must work to remain competitive tomorrow. We must be innovative." In this context, he presented the Digital Lëtzebuerg initiative. He also stressed the importance of the link between digitisation and education.
Minister Schneider presented the SpaceResources.lu initiative as part of a panel dedicated to "Asteroid Mining - a new space race".
