Luxembourg's Minister of Labour, Employment and Social and Solidarity Economy, Nicolas Schmit, will participate in a series of side events on the eve of the Social Summit for Equitable Jobs and Growth in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 16 November 2017.
The minister will speak at an event organised by the European Trade Union Confederation with the title "Building a Better Europe for Working People - The Social Progress Protocol and the European Pillar of Social Rights".
The Minister will participate in a round table that concludes the side event on the social and solidarity economy organised by the European Commission. This conference focuses on the role of the social and solidarity economy in the context of the future of work.
As the president of the Socialist and Social Democrat group of the EPSCO Council, the minister will address the conference "Together for social justice and sustainable growth" organised by the Swedish and European socialists.
