Four musical events involving Luxembourg performing artists will be taking place in New York City between 25 November and 7 December 2017.

The first performance will be by the band Shir at Nublu (151 Avenue C, Manhattan) on Saturday 25 November 2017. Shir, who will sing and play the flute, will be accompanied by Jongkuk Kim on drums, Lior Tzemach on electric guitar and Luxembourg bassist Achal Murthy on electric bass.

Secondly, on Tuesday 28 November 2017, Adrienne Haan will be perfoming “From Berlin to Broadway- Transatlantic” for the last time before April 2018. The performance will take place at the Triad Theatre on Broadway.

Likewise, on Sunday 3 December 2017, Columbia University Orchestra, featuring Luxembourg second violinist Lea Melki, will perform under the direction of Jeffrey Milarsky ar Alfred Lerner Hall on Broadway.

Last but not least, the Consulate General of Luxembourg has announced the performance of Triumph of Art by the American Symphony Orchestra featuring Russian-born Luxembourg resident violinist Alena Baeva, under the direction of Leon Botstein. This performance will be held on Thursday 7 December 2017 at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Centre on Broadway. Alena Baeva has performed at various Luxembourgish diplomatic venues, including last year at the Luxembourg Embassy in Moscow, Russia.
