The Luxembourg government has expressed its full solidarity with the United Kingdom following the Salisbury attack.

In light of recent events in Salisbury, the Luxembourg government has strongly condemned the attack and has expressed its solidarity with the United Kingdom in the face of this serious challenge to common security.

Luxembourg has agreed with the British government's analysis that the Russian Federation is highly likely to be responsible for this act and that there is no such thing as another plausible explanation.

The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Jean Asselborn has therefore decided to call the Luxembourg Ambassador to Moscow for consultations.
