The Ministry of Economy has set up a Luxembourg stand at this year's International Tourism Fair (ITM) in Berlin, taking place from 6 to 10 March 2019.

With over 10,000 exhibitors and 160,000 professional and private visitors, the ITB is an important event to discover and share the latest trends in the tourism industry while exploring new opportunities. The Luxembourg stand is traditionally present at this fair to promote the Grand Duchy as a tourist destination of choice and offer a platform to its partners in the tourism sector.

Designed this year according to a new modular concept, the Luxembourg stand will allow visitors to discover the thematic worlds of tourism and the various assets of the country. The Ministry of the Economy's partners on the ITB 2019 Luxembourg stand are Luxembourg City Tourist Office, Mondorf Thermal Estate, Luxair Group, Emile Weber Travel, City of Luxembourg & Urban Timetravel and the École d’hôtellerie et de tourisme du Luxembourg.

Tourism Minister Lex Delles was also present at the opening of this year's ITB on Wednesday. In addition to his presence on the Luxembourg stand, Minister Delles visited the booths of Slovenia and Estonia, where he discussed sustainable tourism with his Slovenian counterpart Zdravko Pocivalsek. He similarly spoke with Magnus Sameli, director of the Tourism Promotion Agency in Estonia, about the challenges of digital transformation and its impact on the tourism sector.
