Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs has confirmed that Minister Jean Asselborn will visit Kiev, the calpital city of Ukraine, for a working visit on Monday 25 March 2019, at the invitation of Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Pavlo Klimkin.

During his visit to Kiev, Minister Asselborn will hold working meetings with Hanna Hopko, President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament, and Vitalii Korchyk, President of the Ukraine-Luxembourg Parliamentary Friendship Group, as well as with his counterpart, Pavlo Klimkin.

Minister Asselborn's talks with his various interlocutors in Ukraine will be an opportunity to take stock of bilateral relations, and to discuss the process of reforms in Ukraine, particularly in the context of the upcoming elections, including the presidential election on 31 March, as well as the legislative elections on 27 October.

The talks will also address the crisis in eastern Ukraine, as well as in Crimea. Relations between the European Union and Ukraine will also be on the agenda, in particular the implementation of the Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine.
