EDF, the operator of the Cattenom nuclear power plant in France, has reported that Reactor 3 was reconnected to the electricity network on Friday morning.
Around 06:00 on Friday 15 December 2023, the teams at the power plant reconnected Reactor 3 to the electrical grid.
The reactor in question had been shut down on Thursday 30 November 2023 for maintenance operations in the nuclear part of the installation. This shutdown also made it possible to carry out an intervention on the system allowing the cooling of the water inside the air cooler.
EDF confirmed that the four reactors at the Cattenom nuclear power plant are currently in operation and supplying the electricity network.
