At the invitation of the Minister responsible for Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Luxembourg's Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, will pay a working visit to Muscat on Thursday 22 February 2018.

This working visit is part of the Luxembourgish desire to develop and strengthen political, economic and trade relations with the Sultanate of Oman.

The head of Luxembourg's diplomacy will be accompanied by an economic delegation led by the Chambre de Commerce and will have a series of meetings with the actors of the Omani economic world, including the CEO of the Qurum Sovereign Fund, Sheikh Hassan bin Ahmed Al Nabhani, the president from the Oman Chamber of Commerce, Qais bin Mohamed Al Yousef, as well as the proposed honorary consul, Sheikh Adil bin Said Al Shanfari.

Minister Asselborn will also meet Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi, to discuss bilateral relations between countries and key issues on the international agenda, as well as to take stock of recent developments in the Middle East. ​
