Luxembourg Minister for Cooperation and Humanitarian Action, Romain Schneider, will attend the African Microfinance Week (SAM) in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia on 10 October 2017.

The third edition of SAM, taking place from 9 to 13 October, has been organised by ADA, the Luxembourg NGO specialising in inclusive finance under the government's mandate, alongside the African microfinance networks. This year's theme is "Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises: a new era for inclusive finance".

Minister Schneider will make a speech at the opening ceremony of the event and will have a series of bilateral talks with Luxembourg cooperation partners who are active in the microfinance sector and beyond.

SAM is a conference dedicated to the development of financial inclusion in Africa that takes place every two years. SAM's ambition is to become a common African platform for reflection and exchange among all microfinance practitioners: investors, MFIs, researchers, banks, networks, innovators, governments and NGOs, among others.
