On Tuesday 19 September, on the the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, Luxembourg's Prime Minister held a bilateral meeting with Jack Ma, founder and chairman of the Alibaba Group, at the Luxembourg House in New York.
During this meeting, the current economic development of Luxembourg and the European Union was discussed, as well as the consequences of the Brexit on Luxembourg and the European Union, as well as the economy and world finance.
In addition, PM Bettel highlighted the unmistakable crossroads of telecommunications that Luxembourg has become and reminded of the strong development of Fintech in the Grand Duchy in recent years.
At the end of the meeting, Xavier Bettel invited Jack Ma to visit Luxembourg.
